Lessons and Training

Southerly Winds Farm offers a comprehensive lesson and training program tailored to meet the needs of the individual horse and rider.

All levels of riders and breeds of horses are welcome.

Instructor Bio

Denise Laigle is a successful trainer and competitor. She started as a gymkhana and western pleasure rider then progressed to hunter's and jumpers. During her college years she would gallop race horses before classes.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Central Oklahoma, Denise joined the Army Reserve Nurse Corp and her Equestrian pursuits began to focus on Dressage.

Her accomplishments include:

USDF L Judge with Distinction

USDF Bronze Medal

FEI 5yo Young Horse Regional Championships 3rd

FEI 5yo Young Horse National Championships 10th

2nd Level Horse of the Year RHPSI

2nd Level Horse of the Year 14th Place USDF
